Panasonic toughbook CF 20 is a registered trademark of a highly durable computer owned by Panasonic Corporation. Introduced in the CF-25 in 1996, the Toughbook, like most other rugged laptops, is designed to withstand the external forces that damage or destroy a regular laptop. Toughbook laptops are used in a variety of industries, including construction, defense, emergency services, government, healthcare, law enforcement, manufacturing, oil, gas, telecommunications, and utilities.
In 2011, Panasonic introduced the Toughpad brand of rugged tablets built on many of the same specifications as the laptop's Toughbook line.
Panasonic's Toughbook semi-lug laptop features an innovative modular design and up to 40 hours of battery life with an optional rechargeable battery. The modular design allows users to upgrade memory, storage, keyboard, and three different expansion areas with additional I / O, optical drive, authentication reader, dedicated graphics, and more. Backward compatibility with previous generation docks protects customers' investments by saving time and resources. Built with state-of-the-art technology, the TOUGHBOOK 55 features the latest 8th generation Intel® Quad-Core vPro ™ processor, an infrared webcam with four microphones, a crisp, powerful 92 dB speaker, a color-selectable backlit keyboard, and It has a reduction mode. It helps to strain the eyes and maintain night vision. The Panasonic toughbook is the lightest and thinnest in its class and offers the optional FirstNet ™ EM7511 Band 14 mobile broadband for maximum mobility.
Test
According to Panasonic, more than 501 tests and quality checks have been performed during production, and all units have undergone a break-in period at the factory.
Several independent tests have been performed to determine the resistance of the Toughbook computer to external forces. The fully rugged Toughbook model has undergone independent laboratory testing to be certified to meet the MIL-STD-810 standard for operation in a variety of extreme conditions. Fully rugged models have also been tested for resistance to particles and liquids and are classified according to international standards for intrusion protection (IP).
Design
All Toughbook models have a magnesium alloy case to provide durability without the heavyweight. Many current models have a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel specially designed for visibility during daytime use. Other design elements include impact-resistant hard drives and, on many models, moisture- and dust-resistant LCDs, keyboards, and touchpads.
Panasonic has a variety of "business-rugged" and "semi-rugged" to "fully-rugged" with laptops, convertible tablets and tablet configurations, and several special designs with many additional customizable features. They sell the Toughbook series by composition. Some models also include rechargeable batteries, GPS receivers, built-in 4G LTE multi-carrier mobile broadband, backlit keyboards, integrated handles, and hand straps.
